Last weekend at PARC, we were proud to host Restart a Heart Day – a community event dedicated to raising awareness about cardiac arrest and empowering people with lifesaving CPR skills.
Led by the passionate team from Monash University Paramedicine, our foyer was buzzing with learning and energy as visitors discovered how to CALL, PUSH, SHOCK – the three simple steps that can save a life.
With only 1 in 10 people surviving a cardiac arrest, every bit of awareness and education makes a difference.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by and learnt a new skill. And thank you to our friends at Monash Uni for making it happen here at PARC.

Behind the scenes: Fresh floors
Our gym floors have had a full deep clean this week, and they’re looking and feeling better than ever!
A huge thank you to the incredible team members from our Gym, Operations, and Group Exercise departments who volunteered for the night works to move equipment and make it happen without impacting member access.
With the support of our Assets & Facilities and Cleaning & Presentation teams what was planned as a three-night job was completed in just two – proof that many hands make light work!
Clean floors not only look great, but also help keep your workouts safe and enjoyable. See you in the gym soon!
Unplug24
Join us in going off social media for a day on 24 October.
Next Friday, on Friday 24 October, we are joining Unplug24, a 24-hour break from social media in solidarity with SmackTalk – an organisation founded by local Wayne Holdsworth to honour his son, Mac, and raise awareness around suicide prevention.
Unplug24 encourages us to step away from social media and reconnect offline to:
🔌 Protect mental health
🔌 Raise awareness to prevent suicide
🔌 Support vital education and awareness programs
Last year, more than 134,000 people took part, proving that sometimes the most powerful connection is offline. This year, SmackTalk is aiming to reach over a million participants in Australia and around the world.
Let’s join together and unplug from all social media for the day – at work and at home – to show our support for this important cause.
